The space
Welcome to the Sasquatch Sanctuary Cordwood Cabin — your friends and family’s cozy mountain hideaway in the heart of Philipsburg, Montana. Surrounded by small mining and ranching town charm, with mountain views and world class outdoor activities, this rustic cabin is the perfect place to relax, reconnect, and explore the great outdoors. Located In the heart of an outdoor paradise, and right in downtown Philipsburg Montana, you will be near Discovery Basin Ski Area, Georgetown Lake, and Rock Creek.

We are excited to now share our little piece of Pburg paradise with you! A one of a kind cordwood masonry log cabin with a unique character and layout with custom artwork, hand made furniture and details throughout. Over 30 years in the making, we took over the property in 2018 and have been diligently working to save the property from disrepair, and finish the original build. It was originally built over several years by Dave and Marczi Beaudoin, along with all their friends and neighbors who pitched in to help. We have put countless hours over the years now into rebuilding this gem of a creative home into an evolving living work of art for everyone to enjoy.

The Cabin:
•    3 Bedrooms 2 Bathrooms & south facing sunroom that acts as 3rd bedroom with full-size sleeper sofa, privacy door, heat and a/c. Bedrooms and full custom bathroom are on the second story with French door access to the wrap around deck.
•   Sleeps up to 9 with 1 King, 1 Queen, 4 heavy duty twin bunk beds and a full sleeper sofa.
•   Large full kitchen with all the essentials, log bar with 3 stools, and a dining room table that seats 6
•   Wood-burning stove and comfy living room complete with 5 leather recliners
•   High-speed Wi-Fi with smart TV’s in Living room and master bedroom
•   Lots of private parking out front with an additional large spot on the east side for trailers, RV’s and boats, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, side by sides and jeeps. Explore the hundreds of miles of old forest and mining roads and trails right out your front door!

The home has been used for the past 6 years as a long term rental for local workers at the Ranch & Rock Creek which also doubled as a yoga studio for one of the renters in that time. It was also used for a time by a nurse at the Anaconda hospital, and overall it has been loved by everyone who has stayed and visited here, and we know that you will love it here too.

PET POLICY:
We love traveling with our dogs too. Well-behaved pets are permitted with a one time pet fee of $50, which helps with the extra cleaning and upkeep required. We will supply for you a dog bed, water and food bowls , treats and poop bags to clean up outside.

No excessive barking and running around in the home. Please keep pets off all furniture and beds.

**Pets are not to be left alone in the home. (No dogs left alone on full days away of skiing, fishing etc.) When you leave the home, your pets must be with you, crated in the home, or kenneled elsewhere.**

Guest access
You have the entire house to yourself along with the front porch, upstairs deck. Outside, you have the front and east side parking, south patio area, and a shared yard with your co-hosts cabin on the west side.

Other things to note
🚫 No Parties or Events

To ensure a peaceful and enjoyable stay for all guests—and to maintain good relationships with our neighbors—we have a strict No Parties and No Events policy.

Our home is intended for quiet, respectful stays and is best suited for families, couples, and small groups of friends seeking relaxation and outdoor adventures. Hosting large gatherings, loud celebrations, or any events beyond the registered guests is not allowed. Violating this policy may result in immediate cancellation of your stay without a refund and/or additional cleaning or damage fees as necessary.

PARKING:
Lots of private parking out front with an additional large spot on the east side for trailers, RV’s and boats, snowmobiles, dirt bikes, 4 wheelers, side by sides and jeeps. Explore the hundreds of miles of old forest and mining roads and trails right out your front door!

* FIRE PIT *
We now have a fire pit available for your use on the back patio. There is firewood available, and paper and matches/lighters inside by the wood stove for lighting. There is also a bucket with water and shovel near the pit. Make sure the fire is completely extinguished when done, and you must still adhere to quiet hours after 10pm. You can still use the pit after 10, but please be considerate of the neighbors and keep it at a low tone.

 ADDITIONAL GUESTS:
Listed price is for 4 guests. After 4, there is a $25 per guest, per day fee for up to 9 guests. This will show up automatically in your total pricing per day.
